Meryl est une artiste suisse née en 1989. Après un Bachelor à la HEAD–Genève option image-récit en 2014, elle travaille sur différents projets d’illustration et d’édition. C’est en explorant différentes techniques qu’au fil du temps elle élargit son travail en l’adaptant à différents supports et en changeant de contexte. Elle a réalisé plusieurs fresques et également accompagné le quartet Arditti avec un live-painting à l’occasion du Savoie Truffle Festival en 2019.
Suite à un Master en illustration à l’Académie des Beaux-Arts de Bologne en 2018, elle illustre son premier livre, Les rêves, sur des textes de S. Corina Bille, publié aux éditions La Joie de Lire (2021).
La nature étant pour elle une source d’inspiration principale, l’artiste aime surtout découvrir de nouveau médiums pour mieux traduire son regard et son ressenti. « Changer de technique me permet de transcender à chaque projet mon approche du dessin. J’aime me confronter aux surprises que l’expérimentation offre en passant par l’erreur, puis par l’acceptation et enfin, le lâcher prise. Soucieuse du détail, il me faut parfois changer de technique pour mieux cibler le sujet ».
