Après une enfance riche en romans, bandes dessinéees et films, Silvain Monney a étudié le cinema d’animation à Lucerne. Il travaille depuis en tant qu’indépendant en animation et illustration (presse, affiches, logos, BD, etc.)

Co-réalisé avec son ami Samuel Patthey, son court métrage « Ecorce” a rencontré un accueil chaleureux auprès du public et de la critique. Il a d’ailleurs obtenu le Cristal du Festival d’animation d’Annecy.

Depuis 2020, Silvain s’est tourné vers les plantes et une formation d’horticuleur afin d’ajouter une corde a son arc et de se rapprocher de la nature.

Silvain Monney est l’artiste exclusif de la collection Les Voyages immobiles. Chaque illustration est réalisée en papier découpé.
Une série de Leporello, 17 volets, 8 plis croisés, format 110 x 220 mm. Il est imprimé en sérigraphie à 500 ex. numérotés sur papier Gmund Hanf 120 g/m². La couverture est imprimée sur carton gris qualité relieur 1050 g/m² sur presse typographique. La finition, le pliage et la reliure sont réalisés artisanalement par l’atelier Gschwend Rhyn.
